Career Connect is in the list of the UK’s Top 100 Best Companies to Work for the second year running – leaping up the lists in three categories.

We are now:

  • #45 in the Top 50 Best Large Companies to Work for in the UK – up 39 places (#84 in Top 100 in 2024).
  • #36 in the Top 50 Best Northwest Companies to Work for – up 30 places (#66 in Top 75 in 2024).
  • #12 in the Top 20 Best Charities to Work for – up 5 places (#17 in Top 25 in 2024).

This comes alongside us improving our star ranking with Best Companies from one star to two stars, officially recognising our charity as Outstanding to Work For.

The Best Companies to Work For lists and the Best Companies Accreditation are recognised as the standard in workplace engagement across organisations of all sizes.

Best Companies surveyed all 330 of Career Connect’s staff, anonymously, on a range of topics including leadership, happiness at work, work-life balance, benefits and organisational structure. Other Northwest organisations making the list this year include Beaverbrooks, Claire House Children’s Hospice, Age UK and Trafford Council.

Sheila Clark, Career Connect CEO said:

“Moving up 39 places into the Best Companies Large Employers Top 50 and improving our position in Best Northwest and Best Charities Work For lists is a reflection of the value we place on our people, on whose views our results are based.

“This achievement is testament to the passion and dedication of our incredible people, who make a real difference to over 100,000 lives each year by enabling people to access to education, training, and employment. We have an unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and we want to ensure that every voice is heard and every contribution is valued.”

This latest accreditation comes alongside a number of others for our charity.

In June, we were named Careers Provider of the Year 2025 at the CDI UK Career Development Awards.

We currently hold an Investors in Diversity Silver UK accreditation from the National Centre for Diversity and we are a Living Wage Employer. We are also a founding member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and in June 2025 achieved Accredited Level member status of the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter, becoming one of the first employers to do so. Our positive environmental impact has been recognised with a Silver Accreditation from Positive Planet and a Bronze Accreditation from the Carbon Literate Organisation for our work to reduce our carbon footprint.
