Career Connect has now achieved Accredited Level member status of the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter, becoming one of the first employers to do so.
Celebrating excellence in fair employment practices
Developed by the Metro Mayor’s office since 2018 in consultation with local employers the Fair Employment Charter celebrates excellence in fair employment practices and aims to drive-up standards.
The intention is to recognise good quality and effective practice in fair employment and build the broader case amongst other employers for them to consider changing their practices.
The charter consists of four principles:
Healthy
Healthy workplaces are productive workplaces that are safe for those working in them, whilst recognising the importance of mental and physical health inside and outside of the workplace.
Fair
Fairly paid, secure work is the foundation of good work and good workplaces.
Inclusive
Good businesses and a successful economy can only be built if the talents of all are recognised and supported, barriers understood and removed, and talent maximised.
Just
Workplaces that offer opportunities for all, a collective voice for all staff, and support the next generation to prosper underpin a more just present and an even better future for Liverpool City Region.
