Taking the theme of ‘Evolving Careers’ this virtual conference looks at why and how careers need to adapt to major economic, social and technology changes around the world. The conference looks at issues such as climate change, an ageing workforce, skills gaps and the impact of the current COVID-19 health crisis, with the message that it is essential that careers evolve in response to the environment. It aims to provide invaluable information for delegates to use in their own roles, helping transform people’s lives.
There will be workshops on forward-thinking approaches to careers support systems and examine international policies and practices. Among the questions under consideration will be: “How will the current environment affect jobs, training, employment, the gig economy and/or unemployment in the future?” and “How best can individuals prepare, adapt and prosper through lifelong learning and work?”
At 12.45pm on 22 October, Kieran Gordon, now Executive Director for Careers England, hosts a session entitled “What does inclusion mean?”
Tickets cost £30 for all three days. All delegates will be entitled to exclusive access to a Digital Toolkit, providing access to a range of valuable resources to enhance your knowledge and offer practical guidance when undertaking your critical role in the careers sector.
