At the end of October, Career Connect Trustees reviewed the progress made towards closing the Gender Pay Gap.
Since 2017, we are pleased to report that the actions taken to address some early concerns regarding gender pay gap, remain effective in helping us to maintain progress. Based on data at the start of April 2025, the charity is performing well in closing the pay gap between men and women, with year-on-year improvements.
Hourly pay gap, amongst all employees including full time and part time.

The 3% hourly pay gap figure 2025 is based on “all employees” with males earning 43p per hour more than female staff. When this is reviewed for full time staff, (disregarding part-time workers) the gap shows that female staff are being paid 17p per hour more.
Full-time female staff (164 people) earn a mean pay of £16.37, whilst male full-time staff (75 people) earn £16.20.
There are 81 females in part-time roles, paid a mean hourly pay of £15.07, whilst males in part-time roles earn a mean hourly pay of £18.93. With only 5 part-time male employees currently, (one of whom is a Director) this significantly affects the mean hourly pay percentage.

In terms of Median Hourly Pay, in 2025 there is a 1% difference between male and female. This is an improvement on the 2% in 2024 and 7% in 2023
