Career Connect

Career Connect has achieved a new accreditation for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Investors in Diversity accreditation, awarded by the National Centre for Diversity, is recognised as the national equality standard.  It provides organisations with a bespoke approach for improving Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) practices in the workplace.

To earn the Investors in Diversity accreditation, information was drawn from surveys and interviews with the charity’s staff, its leaders and other stakeholders. Career Connect passed the evaluation with flying colours, demonstrating its strong commitment to diversity at all levels of the organisation.

Danielle Kneale, Director of HR

“It is important for Career Connect to be recognised as a diverse organisation,” said Director of HR, Danielle Kneale. “At Career Connect, we believe that diversity is a strength, and we are committed to creating a workplace culture that reflects that belief. This accreditation is a testament to the environment here at Career Connect.”

The Investors in Diversity accreditation is the latest recognition of Career Connect’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The Investors in Diversity journey and achievement of the standard gives a positive message to everyone involved with Career Connect.

Career Connect is already an accredited Real Living Wage employer, a Disability Confident Leader, and has been recognised as one of the Top 50 Most Inclusive Workplaces with the National Centre for Diversity. In December, the charity was amongst the first group of employers to be awarded Aspiring status in Mayor Steve Rotheram’s Fair Employment Charter. They are also signed up to the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and are already progressing through the membership assessment.

“Diversity, equality, and inclusion are not just buzzwords at Career Connect,” said Danielle. “They are core values that guide our actions and decisions every day. We are committed to creating a workplace that is welcoming to all, and we will continue to work towards that goal.”

Career Connect’s new accreditation is a great achievement in the organisation’s journey to maintain a truly diverse and inclusive workplace culture. The organisation is proud of its achievements and looks forward to continuing its work in this area in the years to come.
