Job Description

Careers Adviser  (FRT)

Salary – £24,266 up to £27,617, Perm

Location:  Based at Walker House covering LCR area

We have an opportunity for a qualified Careers Adviser to join us, as part of our Flexible Response Team (FRT), covering delivery in the Liverpool City Region.

If you have experience of supporting people into work, or into education and training, we’d love to hear from you. It’s a very rewarding job, where you will see the difference you can make to people’s lives.  A Level 6 Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) qualification or equivalent (e.g Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance) is an essential criteria for this position.

We are especially looking for applicants who can connect with people to help move them forward and genuinely care about social mobility. We work with young people, adults and a wide range of vulnerable groups including offenders and people with SEN.

Full training will be given to enable you to do the job and we provide laptop, mobile phone and relevant resources so you’ll be well equipped to deliver the role. You will work with different Career Connect teams and move locations from time to time, so we are looking for people who can be flexible about their base of work and travel to different sites.

  • · Full time (35h) or part time positions.
  • · A range of flexible working arrangements, including some home working.
  • · Flexi-time for all staff

We have recently won some large exciting new contracts, so the charity is growing rapidly. It’s an exciting time to join Career Connect.

Careers Advisers are paid on a scale between £24,266 up to £27,617 and you will be reimbursed for additional travel, beyond your main base of work (Walker House Liverpool).

Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays. We give an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service and everyone gets the day off on their birthday.
