Employment Support Worker (FRT) 

Salary: £24,266 -£27,617 , Perm

Locaton: Greater Manchester – (central Manchester base of work, Peter Street office)


We are recruiting Employment Support Workers (Flexible Response Team) to help us deliver on a range of exciting new programmes, supporting offenders in Greater Manchester.

The role:

The successful candidate will support offenders into employment and learning opportunities. They will be working with offenders to connect with them and to help them move forward by engaging them in learning, training and employment opportunities to reduce their risk of re-offending.

Experience is preferred, however you will be given all the training you need to do the role and will be provided with support to get established in the new role.

What we are looking for:

  • · Effective at working with partner organisations
  • · Works well towards individual performance targets
  • · Experience working with people in custody
  • Flexibility regarding location of work (within Gtr Manchester)


The details:

Full training will be given to enable you to do the job and we provide laptop, mobile phone and relevant resources so you’ll be well equipped to deliver the role. You will work with different Achieve NW teams, as part of the Career Connect charity. You may move locations from time to time, so we are looking for people who can be flexible about their base of work and travel to different sites.

  • · Full time (35h) or part time positions.
  • · A range of flexible working arrangements, including some home working.
  • · Flexi-time for all staff

We have recently won some large exciting new contracts, so the charity is growing rapidly. It’s an exciting time to join Career Connect.

Employment Support Workers are paid on a scale between £24,266 up to £27,617 and you will be reimbursed for any additional travel, beyond your main base of work (central Manchester location).

Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays. We give an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service and everyone gets the day off on their birthday.
