Our careers advisers can provide information, advice and guidance sessions for individuals or groups – designed to suit your setting and student needs.
With vast experience of SEND, our advisers work closely with students, staff, parents/carers and agencies to deliver the right support, in the right way.
All sessions are tailored to meet individual need, and include a personal action plan, supporting informed decisions.
Our professional advisers have a vast knowledge of career pathways and qualifications, keeping impartiality at the heart of what they do. They get to know each young person’s goals and needs.
They help each young person to make an informed plan, supporting them to make a successful transition to their next destination.
Our advisers are also able to attend annual or EHCP reviews to support transition planning and identify suitable provision based on interests and needs.
Career Coaching
Coaching can empower students to identify their skills and qualities, consider their goals, and explore career options linked to these.
Our professionally qualified careers coaches can develop targeted packages of support to help your students maximise their potential. They can work individually with students to support them in removing barriers to success.
Coaching can also help students to develop coping strategies that they can use throughout work and life.
Resilience and Wellbeing Coaching
Delivered by trained staff, these one-to-one sessions are designed to help young people develop commitment and confidence, improve emotional control and learn how to effectively deal with challenges.
We also offer innovative group work sessions that build resilience and support well being that are appropriate as part of drop down days including in personal development delivery.
Pre-Work Experience: Introduction to the World of Work
Key stages 3, 4 and 5.
An alternative to traditional work experience, for groups.
This programme allows students who may not be able to engage with traditional work experience to learn about local industry, visit related employers and work as a group to understand the skills needed to be successful.
We offer a choice of activities developed to meet the needs of individuals, and employer encounters to help equip students with confidence and experience for working life.
World of Work: Employability and Work Experience Alternative
Key Stages 4 and 5
We organise school-based activities to support groups of students who are not ready or unable to go out on work experience.
This programme is aimed at Year 10 students and above who will be preparing for the transition into HE, FE, or employment.
Activities include Q&A sessions with employers, access to Higher Education providers and activities that build confidence, skills, and knowledge to prepare for future employment.
Challenging stereotypes workshop
Key stages 1,2,3,4
Our workshops allow for students to showcase their innovation and presentation skills. They are available for a full year group or targeted groups of students.
This half-day event features employers working in non-traditional roles and industries.
The event is focused on broadening pupils understanding of the world of work and local opportunity structure.
Alongside providing multiple employer encounters, the service challenges students’ perceptions about work, sectors, age, and gender.
The challenging stereotype events are a unique and engaging way of introducing students to the world of work.
We also provide meaningful pre and post event reflection and evaluation.
Primary Schools Step Up Programme
Key Stages 1 and 2
This inspiring programme is designed for year 5 and 6 pupils, aimed at increasing attainment, improving behaviour, and supporting pupils to explore the world of work.
The Step Up programme enables students to feel more motivated, confident, and positive about their future.
It provides information for learners, and their parents or carers, to be able to explore the world of work.
Be Your Best Self
Key Stages 2-5
Our aim is to develop learners’ wellbeing, confidence, and resilience so that all young people believe that they can be successful.
This programme helps to prepare, engage, and raise aspirations of learners to help them feel confident, motivated, and involved. Based on the 4 C’s – control, commitment, confidence and challenge, students take part in a range of interactive and inspiring sessions that motivate and challenge students to develop their skills, goals and develop strategies to cope with anxiety and stress.
The Be Your Best Self Programme has seen improvements in the wellbeing of participants, an increase in student confidence, and in knowledge of strategies to help cope with the challenges of everyday life.
Reach for the Future Programme
Key stages 2, 3, 4, 5
This inspiring programme introduces young people to the skills needed to be successful in work. It includes employer-led sessions to help students apply their curriculum learning to the world of work.
The engaging and interactive sessions are delivered by a qualified coach who will work with a group of students to improve their motivation, skills and behaviours, whilst also learning about how these very important skills relate to the workplace.
The programme has proven to provide students with increased attendance, confidence and learning engagement.
