Information for HMPPS Creating Future Opportunities participants:

Support throughout the journey

We provide services to His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), groups of prisons, and local government. We work across a range of contracts and with people in all stages of the justice system:

  • In custody
  • Preparing for release
  • Through the gate
  • On probation
  • In community settings

Reducing future offending

There is a clearly established link between stable employment after release and reducing the risk of future offending.

Our Achieve team helps people to overcome practical, social, and emotional barriers and develop the skills they need to set achievable goals and take a new path.

How we help

We provide resettlement-focused support, helping participants to make successful transitions back into the community. We work in both male and female settings.

Our staff take a non-judgemental, professional, person-centred approach to empower people to achieve the best outcomes. We understand that there is no ‘one-size-fits all’ approach.

We are committed to inclusivity, ensuring support meets individual need.

We focus on tailored, person-centred, face-to-face support.

Our advisers can offer personalised support in:

Disclosure advice, CV writing, cover letter writing, job search, job profiling, interview prep and mock interviews
Building interpersonal skills – soft skills, motivation, confidence, goal setting, building communication skills, making disclosures to families.
Jobs focus – understanding career paths and job roles, identifying skills gaps and training opportunities.
Helping people to overcome often ‘hidden’ barriers – such as having access to ID, bank account, photographic ID
Accommodation and benefits advice

Partnership working

We have a strong reputation for working alongside agencies and subcontractors.

We build hyper-local networks to help create sustainable opportunities for participants. We help achieve consistency for participants by providing through the gate support.

Building strong links with employers

We have specialist staff who work with businesses that are interested in recruiting people upon release.

We help employers to understand the pre-release activities undertaken by participants to achieve work-readiness. We spend time to understand employer requirements, link employers up with suitable candidates, and help facilitate the process.
