Breaking the cycle

Research shows that being in employment after release from prison plays a significant role in reducing reoffending.

Our Achieve team helps to support offenders’ transition back into society through preparation for employment, education or training – with the aim of preventing cycles of re-offending.

We work in more than XXX prisons and community settings across the country, delivering a variety of programmes.

We provide services to His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), individual prisons, and local government.

We build strong partnerships and work closely with subcontractors and commissioners to provide clear pathways for those that we support.

Person-centred support

We take a person-centred approach, helping participants to overcome barriers, understand and change their own behaviours, and build motivation to explore next steps.

We link them up with pathways that are the right fit for them – leading to more sustainable outcomes.

Collaboration and innovation

We have a strong track record of working with commissioners and subcontractors to deliver programmes with impact.

On the HMPPS CFO programme (2XXX-2024) we managed XX specialist contractors, creating a network of targeted provision. We worked alongside the commissioner, prisons and contractors to develop innovative, often award-winning projects including the Discovery Wing at HMP Risley.

Building strong links with employers

We have specialist staff who work with businesses that are interested in recruiting ex-offenders.

We help employers to understand the pre-release activities undertaken by participants to achieve work-readiness. We spend time to understand employer requirements, link employers up with suitable candidates, and help facilitate the process.
