Career Connect’s Achieve team delivers GM ETE on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), as part of the Greater Manchester Integrated Rehabilitative Services (GMIRS).
Where we work
We operate in probation offices across the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester and in several Greater Manchester prisons. We also work closely with the other GMIRS providers.
Collaborating with other providers ensures our clients receive wraparound and specialist support, creating a successful pathway into sustainable ETE opportunities and helping to reduce re-offending.
Face to face delivery
Our Key Workers support people on probation and in prison to create an action plan designed to help them achieve their learning and employment goals.
We provide preparation for interviews, disclosure advice, careers advice, CV support, support with applications for work or education and access to training and job opportunities.
We deliver 1-1 sessions, group sessions and job clubs. Key Workers support each person throughout the process.
Building networks to promote access
In addition to working with other GMIRS providers, we have strong community links and work in partnership with a range of training and employment providers to help our clients access suitable education, training and employment opportunities.
