Who is this qualification for?

The Open Awards Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, or vocational skills and knowledge in training environments.

This can be via any of these methods: oral and written questions, assessments, projects, case studies, Recognising Prior Learning (RPL), and observations of practice.

What will I learn?

Candidates will learn how to assess the quality of written work and be able to critically observe working practice.

How will I learn?

Learning is done by attending training, carrying out observations, and completing a portfolio of evidence.

Some of the units in the qualification will require you to be assessed in your active workplace.

What can I do next?

Candidates who have completed the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement can move on to complete the Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) of Assessment Process and Practice to allow them to become an Internal Verifier in their organisation.
