Terms and Conditions 

  1. Introduction

    1.1. Please read these terms carefully. These terms govern the relationship between you and us, so you should ensure you read and understand them. If you have any queries, please contact us.

  1. Where to find information about us and our products and services

    2.1. You can find everything you need to know about us, our products, services and terms and conditions on our website before you order, and we will confirm key information to you in writing at the time you place your order.

  2. When you buy from us you are agreeing that

    3.1. You can end an ongoing contract.
    3.2. You have rights if there is something wrong with your product.
    3.3. We can change products, services, and these terms.
    3.4. We can suspend supply (and you have rights if we do).
    3.5. We can withdraw products.
    3.6. We can end our contract with you.
    3.7. We don’t compensate you for all losses caused by us or our products.
    3.8. We use your personal data as set out in our privacy notice.
    3.9. You have several options for resolving disputes with us.

4.1. This agreement applies to the following services and products:

4.1.5 Online Continuing Professional Development sessions

All documents related to these services will be stored securely. Documents will only be accessed by authorised staff and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

5. Non-refundable appointments

  1. 5.1. All online career coaching appointments, online career interviews, online CV review sessions and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions are non-refundable.

6. Appointment rescheduling

6.1. Online career coaching appointments, career interviews, and CV review sessions may be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. 6.2. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion for exceptional circumstances.

  1. Technical issues

7.1. In the event of technical difficulties preventing the appointment from taking place, we will work to reschedule or offer a suitable alternative at no additional cost.

8. Ownership of materials

8.1. All downloadable materials, including PDFs, are owned by Career Connect and are protected under UK copyright law.
8.2. These materials are provided under license to the purchaser.

  1. Restrictions on use

    9.1. The materials provided by Career Connect may not be printed, copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, republished, displayed, posted, or transmitted for any purpose without prior written consent from Career Connect.

  2. Virus protection

    10.1. Purchasers of PDF guides are advised to ensure they have appropriate anti-virus software installed and functioning on their devices.

11. Refunds and exchanges for downloadable digital products

11.1. We do not offer refunds or exchanges once a PDF has been accessed or downloaded.

12. Confidentiality and data protection

12.1. All information shared during online career coaching appointments, career interviews, online CV review services, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will remain confidential in accordance with our privacy policy.
12.2. We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

12.3. Optional CV submission

Clients may be asked to submit their CV in advance of a review session to allow for more detailed and tailored feedback. Submission is entirely optional. Any CVs received will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and stored securely. Documents will only be accessed by authorised staff and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

12.4. Written action plans

Following a careers guidance appointment, clients may receive a written action plan summarising key discussion points and agreed next steps. This will typically be sent via email within 5 working days of the appointment. Action plans will be stored securely and handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

  1. Your legal right to change your mind

13.1. For most products or services bought online, you have 14 days after the date we confirm your order to change your mind.
However:
13.2.1. You lose the right to cancel any service when it’s been completed (and you must pay for any services provided up to the time you cancel).
13.2.2. You cannot cancel the provision of a product or service if you have asked us to begin the supply of it during the 14-day period.
13.2.3. You lose the right to cancel your purchase of any digital product when you start to download or stream it.

14.2. We will refund you as soon as possible and within 14 days of you telling us you’ve changed your mind.
14.3. The refund will be made via the method you used for payment.
14.4. We don’t charge a fee for the refund.

15.1. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any external websites or resources linked to our platform.
15.2. Any links to third-party websites or resources are provided for your convenience, and you access them at your own risk.

  1. Disputes and complaints

    16.1. If you wish to resolve any dispute or complaint, please contact us via [email protected]

  2. Dispute resolution options

    17.1. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can still take further action, including bringing claims against us in the English courts (or the courts of the country you live if you are in Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland).

  3. Changes to products, services, and terms

    18.1. We reserve the right to change our products, services, and these terms, with or without prior notice, provided that we notify you of any material changes.

  4. Suspension of supply

19.1. We can suspend the supply of a product or service, and we will notify you in advance unless the issue is urgent.
19.2. If supply is suspended for longer than 28 days, you can contact our service team to end the contract and receive a refund for any paid but undelivered products or services.

  1. Withdrawal of products and services

    20.1. We can stop providing a product or service, such as an ongoing service or a subscription, and we will notify you at least 28 days in advance and refund any sums you’ve paid in advance for products or services not yet provided.

    21. Ending our contract with you

    21.1. We can end our contract with you if you fail to make payment when due or do not provide the necessary information to allow us to deliver the product or service.

22. Delays outside our control

22.1. If our supply of your product or service is delayed due to an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible.
22.2. You may cancel the contract and receive a refund for any undelivered products or services, less any reasonable costs we’ve already incurred.

  1. Limitation of liability

23.1. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
23.2. We aren’t responsible for loss or damage that isn’t foreseeable.
23.3. If we supply products and services to you as a consumer, you may have additional rights under consumer protection laws, but we limit our liability as set out here.

  1. Personal data

24.1. We process your personal data in accordance with our privacy notice, which you must also read carefully.

  1. Retention of CV documents

25.1. CVs submitted for review will be stored securely for a period of 3 months from the date of submission.
25.2. This allows us to complete the review and respond to any follow-up queries.
25.3. After this period, CVs will be permanently deleted from our systems unless you request otherwise.
25.4. All documents are handled in accordance with our privacy notice, and we do not share your CV or personal information with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

  1. Conduct during online sessions

During online sessions participants must not use any offensive, threatening, or inappropriate language or behaviour in both verbal communication and chat messages. We have the right to terminate an online session immediately and take appropriate follow up action should this occur.
