Our online careers guidance sessions are designed for young people exploring post-16 and post-18 options and who need some advice and guidance on next steps.

This could include apprenticeships, further education, higher education or job search.

Our professionally-qualified careers advisers are always impartial – meaning they place identifying each young person’s skills, interests and goals at the centre of the discussion.

Our advisers are qualified to Level 6 – the professional standard for careers advisers.

What you can expect from us

Our careers sessions are tailored to each young person, but can include helping a young person to:

  • Identify skills, qualities, and interests, and any long-term career aspirations that can inform next steps
  • Make informed decisions at key transition points, such as post-16/18 options
  • Understand options such as apprenticeships, further education, higher education or job search

What young people say about our one-to-one careers sessions:

“Paul was really helpful. He listened to what I was interested in and went online and showed me how to apply and what I needed to do.

“The action plan was easy to read, and it was what I expected after the session. It had actions for me to take, and I’ve been taking those actions.

“Before the session it felt stressful and like I didn’t have any idea about anything. After, it just felt like I had more options and it wasn’t as stressful as I thought. I just felt anxious and worried before, and after the session I felt better.”

– Florence
