Courses for Careers professionals

OCR Level 4 and Level 6

These qualifications aim to provide regulated professional development opportunities for those currently working in within the career guidance sector, or those preparing to enter such roles, and to encourage progression within the sector.

We can offer pathways for some of those moving from Level 4 to Level 6 and for those who have completed the appropriate Careers Leaders programme and wish to complete the full Level 6 qualification. Please contact us to discuss this.

CEC Careers Leaders programme

Career Connect delivers the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) Careers Leaders programme face-to-face and online.

Designed for Careers Leaders in schools, special schools or colleges, the programme helps you to accelerate your institution towards achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Courses for people working with people

Information, Advice and Guidance

Suitable for anyone providing information, advice and guidance.

• NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance
• City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance
• City & Guilds Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance

The City & Guilds qualifications have core mandatory units which will be applicable to all learners, and a wide range of optional units to allow specialisation.

Coaching

Providing learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding in order to effectively coach others within an organisational context.

• ILM Level 3 Award and Certificate in Effective Coaching

Assessing

The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

Suitable for those who assess knowledge and/or skills in vocationally related subject areas using the following assessment methods: assessments in simulated environments/skills tests/oral and written questions/assignments/projects/case studies/Recognising Prior Learning (RPL).

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

This course gives you the skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality assurance of assessments and assessment decisions. By successfully completing this IQA course, you will gain a thorough understanding of assessment principles and techniques, enabling you to effectively evaluate and assure the quality of assessments within an organisation.

Corporate Training

Sessions for organisations where a key part of their business is dealing with the public or providing a customer service.
