Career Connect values and protects the information you provide to us. Career Connect is registered under the Data Protection Act (1998) and undertakes to comply with all applicable UK data protection legislation currently in force. This policy outlines what information we collect and how this is used by Career Connect. This policy is only applicable to information you provide to Career Connect, not to the practices of other companies not owned or controlled by Career Connect. You agree to indemnify and hold us and our subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, agents or partners harmless from and against any direct or indirect loss or damage (including consequential loss and loss of profits, goodwill or business opportunities arising from any third party claim in relation to any content you upload, post or e-mail on our through our chat areas or our site, your use of the chat areas and our site, or your breach of the provisions of these rules.

4.1. As soon as we are made aware of activities that breach these terms of use, prompt action will be taken. If you witness such breaches on this site please notify the webteam immediately at: [email protected].

4.2. On being made aware of any such breaches we may ban, delete or prohibit any content that relates to those breaches or that we judge harmful to individuals or the rights of Career Connect Partnership Limited, or any of our affiliates, licensers or partners.

4.3. We reserve the right to take whatever action we deem necessary to prevent such breaches including the following:

4.3.1. Breaches we deem minor may result simply in receipt of a warning from the Career Connect Partnership Limited; or

4.3.2. Breaches we deem serious may result in your automatic ban from our chat room and our site generally. All incidents will be logged and our decision is final in all such cases.

4.4. Any breaches may lead to us reporting your activities to your internet service provider, your employer, relevant authorities, or to legal action being taken against you, or both.

4.5. In addition we may at any time move, modify or remove any content or take further legal action as a result of breaches or suspected breaches or these rules, our privacy policy, any applicable laws or regulations or where our rights or third party rights are threatened or infringed.

The log files used for the Career Connect site record the URLs of visited pages, browser type and other hardware/software details for our users. This information is not personally identifiable and is used purely for tracking generalised user movement, in site administration and for collating demographic data.

We do not represent or warrant that access to the Career Connect site, or any part of it will be uninterrupted, reliable or fault free.

We reserve the right in our sole discretion to deny users access to the Career Connect site or any part of it without notice, and to decline to provide the service to any user that is in breach of these terms and conditions of use. By using the site you agree to adhere to all applicable laws, treatises and regulations, whether local, national, European or international. Additionally you agree to not use the Career Connect service to:

i. Use information or resources (e.g. e-mail) from this site to send ‘spam’ or other unsolicited messages

iv. Breach the copyright of any creative or intellectual work. You must not send or store information which you do not own the copyright for or otherwise have a licence to use

v. Transmit any material containing software viruses or other harmful computer code, files or programs such as Trojan horses, worms, timebots or other malicious code vi. Interfere with or disrupt servers or networks connected to the Career Connect service or violate the regulations, policies and procedures of this network

vii. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Career Connect service user accounts or computer networks connected to the Career Connect site by any means

viii. Harass or otherwise interfere with any other user’s use of the Career Connect site

ix. Make unlawful or inappropriate contact with minors; all forum and chat rooms on this site are monitored

x. Impersonate any person or otherwise misrepresent yourself or your association with a person or entity

While Career Connect is not obligated to monitor the service and/or content or individual usage it reserves the right to monitor, review, retain and/or disclose any information which may be necessary to comply with any regulation, legal process, investigation or governmental request.

All rights in the design, text, graphics and other material on our site and the selection and arrangement thereof are the copyright of Career Connect or other third parties. Permission is granted to electronically copy and print in hard copy portions of this site solely in connection with the acquisition of goods or services through the site. Any other use of materials on our site (including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above and alteration, modification, distribution, or republication) without prior permission is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right at any time without notice to revise the content of our site (including the services offered by us) and these terms of use. ii. The site will meet all of your requirements or expectations

iii. Errors or defects will be corrected

iv. The service or the server(s) that make the service available are free of viruses and other harmful components We shall not be liable to you for any breach of these terms of use or any failure to provide or delay in providing our services through our site resulting from any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, with limitation, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, fire, explosion or accident.

This TOU constitutes the entire agreement between you and Career Connect and it governs your use of the site. The TOU is governed by the laws of England and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Any failure by Career Connect to exercise or enforce the rights and provisions of the TOU does not constitute a waiver of rights or provision.
