Why work for us?
Our people value a range of flexible benefits and excellent terms and conditions.
We are committed to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults and expect our staff to share this commitment. All applicants are subject to DBS and staff who work in custody also have a prison clearance process.
We promote equality and diversity across all that we do and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Part-time workers are always welcome, they have a valuable contribution to make. Inclusion and diversity are a significant feature of the charity’s values, cutting across everything that we do.
As a Disability Confident Leader, we are keen to hear from applicants with disabilities. Around a quarter of our workforce have a disability and are doing a fantastic job in Career Connect, so please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments in the recruitment process.
We don’t hold you to fixed 9-5 pattern because our clients don’t need us to work that way. We make sure that we capture the extra hours you do, and you’ll have them in the bank to take back another time. When the full-time week is only 35h, who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday?
We love to look after our people and their wellbeing. We offer Perkbox Gold + Medical which includes great staff discounts, freebies and rewards eye care vouchers, an employee assistance programme, counselling, cycle to work scheme, travel loans for season tickets, generous travel expenses and we’re always on the look out for new ways to reward our people.
We’ll help you manage your professional development. After a robust induction, we support qualifications and ongoing CPD for our people, which includes access to our own professional development centre, delivering accredited courses, up to Level 6.
You will start with 25 days, but this will increase to 31 as you accrue service with us. This is in addition to all the bank holidays and you’ll enjoy an occasional flexi-day too!
We offer generous rates of occupational sick pay, where entitlement increases with length of service. This boosts the statutory sick pay rates, to ease some of the financial burden for our people when they are unwell.
Making a Difference
We survey our teams to ask them about benefits of their work; seeing the impact they make on people’s lives and the difference their contribution makes on a daily basis, is what genuinely drives Career Connect people. It’s a hugely rewarding role.
