Professional Training Services

Qualifications to improve skills in Careers, Advice & Guidance, Coaching and other programmes.

Career Connect is an Assessment Centre for Entry to Level 2 Vocational Qualifications, accredited through Open Awards. This suite of short courses includes employability programmes and individual personal development modules that can be tailored to individual requirements.

We offer flexible, comprehensive training, delivered to suit the needs of individual learners.  Our professional and experienced trainers and assessors work with candidates across many sectors including local authorities, schools, colleges, housing associations and universities.

We have made our courses more accessible by offering face-to-face or distance learning via digital platforms. This allows us to support candidates delivering careers advice & guidance in the UK and around the world. We also have experience of delivering training to speakers of other languages.

Supporting Young People

Our community teams work alongside local partners, supporting young people with career planning.

We help young people identify how to move forward with career choices and overcome barriers they encounter. By tracking, we can identify participants who drop out and help them re-engage with education, employment and training.

Supporting Young People

Navigating the change from school to employment can be difficult for those young people who need extra encouragement and motivation to get their career on track. We offer a range of methods to help young people turn their career ambitions into reality. Among these are:

• Impartial careers advice & guidance based on local labour market intelligence.
• Support writing CVs and complete application forms
• Help preparing for interviews

We take time to understand each young person’s career aims, their strengths and areas they need to develop. Consequently, this helps us to raise young people’s aspirations, including those who are hard to reach and from disadvantaged or minority backgrounds. We show them how our programmes can help them achieve their career goals and guide them through the steps they need to take.

Overcoming barriers

Some people need a little bit of extra help from a professional who understands their position.

Some people need a little bit of extra help from a professional who understands their position and knows how to help break down barriers to work or learning. Our expert Careers Advisers, Case Managers and Coaches are trained to work with all people, to help them to move forward into a job or learning. We also provide specialist services to people who need some extra support. This includes young people who are disengaged or NEET, people who have a history of offending, young people with special educational needs, teenage parents and young carers.
