Career Connect

Our new engagement and mentoring programme - Connect To Your Future - will re-engage young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) with learning opportunities in Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority has awarded Career Connect with £5million from the European Social Fund to deliver one strand of its NEET and Youth Employment Programme.

Running from January 2022 to September 2023, Connect To Your Future is a brand new engagement and mentoring programme supporting 3,000 of the city-region’s most disengaged young people aged 15-19 with bespoke advice and guidance.

Diane Sproson, Director of Operations for Greater Manchester at Career Connect said: “We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this very important contract.  We will be working closely with local partners to provide vital individualised support to young people in Greater Manchester.  We look forward to helping them engage with employment and learning opportunities to create successful futures.”

Career Connect will also work closely with Ingeus, another training provider in Greater Manchester that is delivering the GMCA’s second strand of the NEET and Youth Employment Programme, focusing on young people aged between 18 and 24.

The £5m contract follows Career Connect’s recent success in being awarded funding from the Greater Manchester Entry To Employment (ETE) programme, which supports people on probation into employment or learning.
