Open to anyone born between 1st September 2002 and 31st August 2003, the open day takes place at the St Helens Ways to Work, Church Square Shopping Centre from 9.30am-3.30pm on Wednesday 8th June 2022.
Our careers advisers will help you identify and understand your career options and where to look for jobs and training opportunities. We offer advice on how to write great CVs and job applications. Thanks to the local Community Renewal Fund, we can also offer financial support to help you buy work kit, interview clothes or even pay for courses to develop your career skills. But hurry! The Fund is only available until Thursday 30th June 2022, so make sure you don’t miss out.
One of the many people we helped is Lydia, who needed flexible employment that she could combine with her regular care duties. Lydia said: “Career Connect’s support helped me to start my dog walking business. They provided me with advice and guidance on how to become self-employed and helped me access the funding to enrol on a nationally accredited course to develop my skills.”
